Cavallaria Paragliding Club was born in 1990. The idea came from a group of friends very fond of free flight.

 

In Italy we were just discovering this amazing sport that is paragliding. Though a few people have been practising it from mid 80ies , the real boom of this sport is in the 90ies.

 

Our Club was different from the beginning Our initiatives were numerous such as the shuttle service for the members, trips to famous paragliding areas during international competitions or our magazine and the first prototype of club competition (MINI CX).

 

Cavallaria Paragliding Club has been the promoter of 1st Italian Regional Championship as well as supporter of several charity events as “30 hours for life”, “A.I.M.O”, also helping poor people in the area.

 

Cavallaria Club is one of the most famous clubs in Italy now.

 

QThis is the first official act of the Cavallaria Club which has been registered on 20th May 1991.
CAs you could see and read there are all the names of the charter members. Some of them are still flying and they are part of Club Board. Congratulation to them all! Let’s discover who they are!
The second official act of the Cavallaria Club , for administrative reasons has been edited by notary office “Studio Notarile Liore” on 17th December 1993 in Ivrea. In the presentation letter of new board of directors 2008 this act is wrongly indicated as official act. This mistake is dued to a lack of all historical information.
As a matter of the fact Cavallaria Paragliding Club is active since 1989, the same group of people will register the Club and its statute to F.I.V.L. 2 years later.
Therefore we can proudly announce that in 2009 we’ll celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Club’s birth.
